BOONE, Iowa—Boone Water Works is required to provide an annual report about potable water production. The report covers the calendar year 2023. This year there were no violations to report. The last violation at the Boone Water Works was a turbidity issue in 2022. Water Works personnel also test for nitrates and reported no issues for 2023. Tests are also conducted for copper and lead and results last year show Boone Water Works met all the established parameters. This Consumer Confidence Report was submitted by USW Utility Group. The company is in charge of the operation at both the Boone Water Works and Water Environment Plant for the City of Boone.
