BOONE, Iowa—Due to staffing issues, the Boone County Planning and Development Office will be unable to assist with applications for passports on Wednesday, April 24th and Friday, April 26th. If changes make it possible to offer passport service there will be an announcement. It is a temporary issue and is expected to be resolved next week. Planning and Development Director Mike Salati says the office has been very busy with passport requests and they appreciate the public working with them through the staffing issue.
