BOONE, Iowa—Contractors started the end of March on the initial site preparation for an extension of the existing boat ramp in the Lower Ledges. The newly created driveway will alleviate congestion of boaters and other visitors when turning around at the ramp. Work is expected to last approximately one month and the ramp may be closed at times during the project. The new extension to the boat ramp will be a welcome addition to all the activities planned for the Centennial Celebration of the Ledges State Park in 2024.
