BOONE, Iowa—Over the past couple of years, the participation of parents and children and local businesses and organizations has been on the increase and 2023’s Downtown Trick or Treat from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. is expected to continue the trend. Story Street will be closed to traffic between 6th Street and 9th Street, so people planning to attend and driving downtown will need to find parking on side streets. The event has served as one of the kick-offs for fund raising for the Boone Police Associations Annual Shop With a Cop program.
