BOONE, Iowa—The most recent map by the U.S. Drought Monitor shows that drought conditioned to increase across Iowa. The area falling into Moderate, Severe, or Extreme Drought increased to nearly 83%. The balance is considered Abnormally Dry. Boone County remains in the center of an Abnormally Dry area which has not changed much since the previous week.
