Five Events Advance to FFA District Competitions

BOONE, Iowa—FFA members from Boone High School competed in the SubDistrict Leadership Career Development Events on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Iowa Central Community College in Ft. Dodge. Students showcased leadership and career skills competing against 8 area FFA Chapters.

Advancing to Districts:
Ag Broadcasting, Chase Anderson – 1st Place Advance
Job Interview, Bria Schwind – 1st Place Advance
Creed Speaking, Mackenize Sego – 2nd Place Advance
Ag Sales, Nathan Lynch – 2nd Place Advance
Parliamentary Procedure Team – 2nd Place Advance
Team members: Trent Overturf, Josalyn Elmquist, Abbey Shaver, Ryan Franzenburg, Colby Naeve
Additional Placings:
Chapter Program, Kylie Mackie, Makenna Berte, Cidney Tidgren – 3rd Place (Alternate to Districts)
Conduct of Meetings – Bronze Rating
Team Members: Emma Overton, Danielle Goudie, Wyatt Herrstrom, Sydney Adams, Braxton Hanson, Corbin Blair. Alternates – Blake Gradoville and Wesley VanPelt.
Advancing CDEs will compete in the North Central District FFA Career Development Events on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Belmond-Klemme High School.
The Boone A&M FFA Chapter is a student organization for Boone High School students enrolled in agricultural science courses. The mission of FFA is to develop premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
