BOONE, Iowa—Funeral arrangements have been set for 68 year old Ned Stuart Baker of Ankeny, Iowa and formerly of Huxley, Iowa. He passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at his home.

Ned was born on November 14, 1952 at the Boone County Hospital, the son of Arnold Robert and Mildred Irene (Buechler) Baker. All seven members of the Baker family were baptized on March 25, 1956 at First Presbyterian Church in Boone. Throughout childhood, Ned spent many nights at Memorial Park watching baseball games. Ned loved his family, especially enjoying family gatherings and motor coach trips.

Ned was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gale R. Baker. He is survived by his brother, Gerald A. (Mary Ann) Baker of Decorah; sisters, Judith E. Thompson of Ankeny and Donna B. (Michael) Russell of Indianola; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and extended family members.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Fjeldberg Lutheran Church or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
