BOONE, Iowa—Funeral arrangements have been set for 84 year old Robert (Bob) Olson of Boone, Iowa. He passed away at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa on Friday, September 24, 2021. Bob was born on May 10, 1937 in Boxholm, IA the son of Rudy and Anna (Johnson) Olson.

On February 16, 1957, he married LeAnn Siebert at the Boxholm Lutheran Church. Bob graduated from Boxholm High School and then worked for West Central Co-op for 26 years as a grain manager. After retiring from West Central Co-op, Bob worked at Regency Retirement Residence for several years. He was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Boone, enjoyed working on John Deere riding mowers and attending Boone sporting events. Bob also helped construct the Boone Little League Park.

Bob was preceded in death by his siblings: Jeanette Sprecher, Bill Olson, JoAnn Anderson, Janice Doran, and Dean Olson.

Bob is survived by his wife, LeAnn Olson of Boone; sons: Tim Olson of Clear Lake, IA, and Mike Olson of Boone, IA; grandchildren: Kari (Brock) Rouse of Clear Lake, IA, and Cassie Olson (Akim Knight) of Ames, IA; great-grandchildren: Lincoln and Ava Rouse of Clear Lake, IA, and Kyan and Kylee Knight of Ames, IA; brother Gene (Linda) Olson of Boone, IA, and sister Judy Outtrim of St. Louis, MO.

Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.
