Sunday Dinner Crescents
1 pkg yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 tsp sugar
Dissolve together.
1 cup warm water
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
4 cups sifted flour
Mix all ingredients together with a spoon, then add yeast mixture. Dough will be sticky. Let rest for 1 hour. Then, divided into 4 parts on floured board. Roll into a circle like a pie crust. Cut into 6-8 wedges and roll each wedge into crescent shapes. Let rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown. Brush with butter.

 

Apple Crisp
8-10 apples peeled and sliced
Mix 1/2 to 1 cup sugar with 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples.
Crumble together:
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 c sugar
1/4 c butter
Add 1 egg and mix together with a fork. Add about 1 cup of crumble mix to apples. Put the rest of the crumble on top of apples. Sprinkle with more cinnamon and sugar and then bake at 350 for 30 to 45 minutes.
