Additional COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Boone County

BOONE, Iowa—Already, the number of positive COVID-19 cases reported by the Iowa Department of Public Health today are increasing.  Boone County will show another increase during the report tomorrow.  Today an additional 6 cases were confirmed.  There have now been 16 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Boone County.

The number from Tuesday morning at 10:00 indicate that there were 10 confirmed cases in Boone County and four patients have recovered following a positive test.  253 tests had been preformed in Boone County and obviously there will be additional numbers added to that total tomorrow.

The Iowa totals increased by 467 positive cases reported Wednesday.  The Iowa Department of Public Health reports that the total was 6,834.  41,337 tests had been conducted in the state.  The report also says that 2,428 of confirmed cases had recovered.  There were 12-deaths to report Tuesday which brings the total to 148.
