Posted on 28 February 2020 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—VisionBank, a longtime supporter of Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity, recently donated $1,000 to assist Habitat for Humanity and its mission to eliminate poverty housing. Along with the monetary donation, VisionBank employees provided rest stop support for riders at Habitat’s annual bike ride fundraising event, HabiTour, in August.

The donation will specifically go towards the construction materials for the 2020 home build.  Groundbreaking is scheduled for Sunday, April 5 at 1:30 p.m. at 1409 Marshall St., Boone.

Lindsay Lynch, Habitat’s Associate Director, shares, “We truly appreciate the donation and recognize all
VisionBank does for our organization and the community.”

VisionBank’s hope is to help community service organizations implement and continue programs and
projects that will improve the quality of life for our community at large. First and foremost, VisionBank is
a community bank.

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, Christian organization dedicated to eliminating substandard and
poverty housing and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat
for Humanity welcomes all persons as partner families regardless of religious beliefs or affiliations.
