BOONE, Iowa—The Iowa State Patrol is conducting an investigation into a two-vehicle accident about 4:30 Thursday afternoon that claimed the life of a Fort Dodge woman.  The early crash report indicates that a Nissan Quest, operated by 47-year old Heidi Beisch of Fort Dodge was traveling south on U.S Highway 17, nearing the Boone/Hamilton County line, when her vehicle went out of control and spun into the path of a northbound Town and Country mini-van operated by 30-year old Emily Loughry of Webster City.

Beisch was pronounced deceased at the scene and Loughry and her three-children were transported to the Boone County Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Multiple agencies provided assistance at the scene. Traffic was re-routed around the site of the accident for several hours
