Farm Bureau “Cram the Cab” Food Drive a Success

Posted on 30 March 2018 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—Over 100 bags of groceries were purchased by Fareway shoppers last week to help Cram the Cab with donations for local food pantries. These donations were then distributed to 6 different organizations in the Ogden, Boone and Madrid communities by board members Marc Fuqua, Kriss Haglund and Greg Rinehart.

The Boone County Farm Bureau board would like to thank Fareway for making this drive possible. Their employees generously packed all the bags and helped store them throughout the promotion. The board would also like to thank VanWall in Madrid including their store manager, Matt Harney, and sales manager, Marcus Bitter, for allowing them to utilize one of their tractors for display.

Thank you to all Boone County residents for being a part of helping fight hunger in our communities. Your donations are greatly appreciated.

Boone County Farm Bureau board members helped distribute all the food donations to 6 local pantries. Each pantry received over $300 worth of non-perishable items. Pictures, from left to right, are Greg Rinehart, Kriss Haglund, Marc Fuqua and VanWall sales manager Marcus Bitter.
