BOONE, Iowa—Saturday’s turnout for the Boone Veterans Day Ceremony was a little better than some previous events when wintery weather was in charge. This year, temperatures were pleasant, but a strong wind offered a chill. Command Chief Warrant Officer Jeffrey W. Lee was the featured speaker on Saturday from the Veterans Monument at the Linwood Park Cemetery. The Boone Veterans Council and members of auxiliary units participated in the color guard.
