DSM Shooter captured

According to authorities in Urbandale, Michael Scott Greene, the suspected killer of two Iowa police officers, has been captured by the Dallas County Sheriff. A statewide manhunt began after two police officers were shot and killed in an apparent ambush attack early Wednesday morning near Des Moines.

Members of the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) softball team prepare to each do 22 push-ups while wearing their “In My Boots” t-shirts.  A 22 Push-Up Challenge will be held from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m., on Wed., Nov. 9, to raise awareness about suicide among military veterans. The event will take place on campus in the Courter Center (student center) or the gymnasium. The Veteran’s Administration estimates that an average of 22 veterans commit suicide each day.
