Doors at the Community Building opened Wednesday evening for the “Early Bird” Sale.  Hours for the rest of the sale are Thursday & Friday 9am-8pm, and Saturday 8am-11am.

Amid beautifully decorated tables, delicious salads and desserts and many cancer survivors, Boone County once again raised a lot of money in the fight against cancer.

Marshall King was among those advocating opposition to beer at the Fair at Wednesday’s Boone County Supervisors meeting.  The Board voted to “not tolerate liquor sales during the fair.”

Cooler temperatures will remain over for the rest of the week with several periods of rain expected.  It will be cold enough Wednesday  and Thursday night for a mix of rain and snow and perhaps a change over to all snow in the far North.

BOONE, Iowa—Joshua Stevens, DMACC Boone Campus student wins the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Transfer Scholarship.  The 36-year old Stevens is the father of four and credits his success to instructors at DMACC.

BOONE, Iowa—39 year old Alexander Joseph Fazzino has been arrested and charged with Murder in the First Degree, a Class  A Felony.  Fazzino is accused of killing his wife, 32 year old Emily Fazzino.
