Thursday afternoon the Boone Farmers Market opened in Boone with warm but dry weather. Their location is 7th Street in Boone between Story and Allen Street. The 2020 season will run Thursdays from 3-6 pm, June 4 through October 22. They provide locallly grown produce and homemade goodies (jams, pies and crafts).

The annual Memorial Day Ceremony took place at Linwood Park Cemetery on Monday, May 25th. There was a nice crowd of people. Masks were worn and social distancing was observed. No lunch was held after the ceremony this year due to the COVID-19 situation. (Photos courtesy VFW Auxiliary)
