RAGBRAI Riders Will Pass Through Madrid Wednesday

BOONE, Iowa—After passing through Berkley and Luther on Tuesday, RAGBRAI riders will return on Wednesday and will pass through Madrid, coming from Slater and heading to Polk City. DES MOINES, Iowa—Iowa’s labor force participation rate increased in June to 68.7 percent, up from 68.5 percent in May. The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate held steady at 2.7 percent. Tom Veale and Tom Jennings visit about the Al Knudsen Legacy Golf Tournament, a fund raiser in Al’s name for the Make a Wish Foundation. All graduated from Boone High School, Class of 76. Knudsen was a strong supporter of Make a Wish and similar programs and passed away suddenly in January 2022. Jennings and Veale talk about the beginning of the Legacy Golf Tournament and how it’s grown in two years along with a Charity Auction. Aired Monday, July 24, 2023.
