Boone County Emergency Management has released a list of Cooling Centers available due to the high temperatures expected with heat index values expected in the 90s and nearing 105 degrees. Congratulations to the Ogden Softball team on their 25-7 win over Earlham Monday evening.  The team will be playing East Marshall at the State Tournament on Monday, July 22nd at 5:00 p.m.  

The Big Boy locomotive rolled into Boone a little before 3:00 on Monday afternoon.

Just in time for the hot weather coming our way, the water fountains at the Canine Corral Dog Park are installed and working.  There are new fountains on both sides of the park (for little dogs and for big dogs).  Thank you to all who made this possible with donations of time and money!

The City of Boone has announced that the Fireworks display will be Saturday, July 6 at the Boone Speedway.  The plan is to have the show start around 10pm
