Tuesday evening, November 19th, the teachers from Lincoln/Page/Franklin Schools held a fundraiser at McDonald’s in Boone where 15% of all sales were donated to the schools. A check for nearly $700.00 was presented to the schools.

Boone firefighters and local law enforcement responded to a fire in a lot that housed salvaged HIRTA buses on Wednesday evening. The buses were destroyed and power was out to some customers in Boone for a time. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
