A mural is being painted on the building near the Boone Green Space on the corner of 8th and Story Street.  

On December 18, Vision Bank awarded the Iowa Youth Athletic Foundation a sponsorship of $11,000.  The sponsorship funds will go towards scholarships and transportation costs for our local young athletes.

Saturday with a Scholar was held at the Boone County Historical Society on Saturday, December 14th and featured Pamela Riney-Kehrberg.  Ms. Riney-Kehrberg is a professor of history at ISU.  The next Saturday with a Scholar will be January 11, 2020 featuring Fred Greiner, former President/COO of Fareway Stores Inc.

Thursday evening, December 12th, was the 17th Annual Shop with a Cop event in Boone.  127 kids from the Boone area were given $120 and taken shopping to buy necessities and gifts.
