Real Christmas trees can be recycled through January 31st by dropping them off at the Boone County Landfill or at the South Green Street location by the Park Office in Boone. Trees must be free of tinsel and ornaments and not in a plastic bag please.

Heavy equipment work has been happening at the McHose Pond in McHose Park to make it useful to more residents. In 2017, the city dedicated grant funds to several city parks projects.
