Boone County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Phil Meier has made available on the Boone County website the unofficial elections results from Tuesday’s General Election.  Boone County reported a very good voter turnout with 66% of the eligible voters casting ballots.  The unofficial results are here.    

Tuesday, November 6th, is here and that means it’s Election Day!  Polls are open 7:00 a.m.- 9:00 p.m.  To find your polling place and a sample ballot go to https://www.boonecounty.iowa.gov/Home/Components/News/News/1980/22?backlist=%2f.  

Sign-up has begun for the Salvation Army’s Christmas Dinner Basket and Toy Shop Program for those who qualify.   This sign-up is from Monday, November 5th, through Friday, November 9th.  You can call the Salvation Army for further information at 432-5770.      

The Boone Fire Department has been making appointments for the annual battery replacement program.  Appointments can be scheduled by calling 515-432-3446.

Boone Girls Basketball Coach Jim McPartland has been selected to coach in the Iowa Girls Coaches Association All-Star Basketball Game.  Coach McPartland is one of only 12 coaches from across the state, and one of only two coaches from class 4A, to coach in the event.

Vision Bank in Ogden went all out for Halloween during Wednesday’s KWBG Coffee.

Boone Hope Foundation received a generous donation in memory of Monte Anderson from Dede Mondt.  Monte was a 1969 Boone High School graduate.  He worked for International Truck and Engine Corporation until his retirement in 2010.
