Monday evening, Casey Petersen was sworn in as a full-time firefighter with the Boone Fire Department.  Casey started at the Fire Department in 2016 as a paid on call firefighter and then promoted to part-time firefighter/EMT.  Casey had his badge pinned by his wife and son. BOONE, Iowa—After starting as a paid on call member of the Boone Fire Department, Casey Peterson was sworn in as the newest full-time member of the Department during Monday’s City Council meeting.  Peterson had already completed training as a paramedic and has been working as a member of the Urbandale Fire Department.
