The Ogden softball team continued its strong start to the season with a 10-2 win over Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center in five innings Monday, June 2, at Ogden High School.
Ogden’s offense came alive in the middle innings, scoring three runs in the third, five in the fourth, and two more in the fifth to secure the run-rule victory.
ACGC managed two runs in the top of the fifth, but it wasn’t enough to extend the game.
Hannah Wells sparked the Bulldogs with two hits, two runs scored, and a stolen base.
Camryn Askelsen and Sophie Seligman each added two hits and two RBIs, while Harleigh Janssen drove in two runs of her own.
Aubrey Leonard and Adi Banks both crossed the plate twice, and Breaunna Wenger contributed a hit, a run, two RBIs, and a stolen base.
Katie Wilcoxson was solid in the circle, striking out five batters to help Ogden improve to 5-2 on the season.
ACGC dropped to 0-3.
The Bulldogs are back in action tonight as they host Coon Rapids-Bayard (0-3) at 7 p.m.
