“Shutting out a veteran team in North Polk, who returned 4 of their top 6 and almost made team state last year, is a great accomplishment,” Latimer said.

The win improves Boone’s record to 7-2 while North Polk fell to 4-6.

Toreadors will travel to Webster City (4-1) Monday, April 21.
