Carly Busch set the school record in the 100-meter dash for Boone as the girls’ track team finished 2nd at Van Meter Thursday, April 10.
Busch ran the 100 in 12.14 and also won the 200-meter dash in 25.84.
Jen LeMar also won the shot put with a throw of 34-09.00, and Meleah Shivers placed 2nd with her throw of 34-08.50.
Emma Wiebold placed 2nd in the discus with a throw of 111-04.00, and Le Mar was 3rd with her throw of 104-06.00.
Busch was also a part of the 4×100-meter relay and 4×200-meter relay, which both finished 2nd.
The 4×100 of Mia Graeve, Avery Howie, Taylor Arringdale and Busch finished in 51.95 and the 4×200 of Arringdale, Gracie Vodenik, Howie and Busch finished in 1:50.80.
Piper Klein was runner-up in the 400-meter dash in 1:09.21, and Arringdale placed 3rd in the long jump with a jump of 15-00.50.
