BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Hospital Board of Trustees formally accepted the resignation from the board member Denny Kollbaum during their December 2nd meeting.  Joe Smith, CEO says the Boone County Hospital (BCH) would like to thank Denny Kollbaum for his many years of service to the BCH Board of Trustees.  He served on the Board from 2010 to 2021.  As a retired optometrist, Denny has always been an advocate for healthcare and that showed in his interest for the hospital.  He was an integral part of the success of BCH for the past 11 years and did an exceptional job representing BCH and the Board of Trustees.

BCH welcomes Cathy Wetzeler, a retired nurse from BCH, to the Board of Trustees filling the vacancy created with Kollbaum’s retirement.

Hospital CEO Joe Smith did talk about the transition this week on the Tuesday Talk to the Expert program.
