Two Suspects Arrested in Connection with a Multi-County Burglary Spree

BOONE, Iowa—Last weekend, Boone County Sheriff’s Deputies began investigating reported burglaries on the east side of Boone County near Ames. The Sheriff’s Department released information Wednesday about the ongoing investigation:

According to the release from the Sheriff’s Department, on June 7, 2025, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office responded to a series of commercial burglaries that occurred along the 230th and 231st corridors in Boone County. The investigation has resulted in the arrest of two suspects and the recovery of stolen property linked to additional burglaries in multiple jurisdictions.

Incident Timeline and Locations:

• Titan Machinery – 2310 230th St. | Time of Call: 8:58 AM

• Hicklin Powersports – 2188 231st Ln | Time of Call: 9:21 AM

• Bob Harris Enterprises – 2316 230th St. | Time of Call: 2:38 PM

• Rental Unit – 2316 230th St. | Time of Call: 7:18 PM

At approximately 11:40 AM, deputies with the Story County Sheriff’s Office located a Ram pickup associated with the suspects in the 2100 block of Y Avenue. A UTV observed in the area fled from law enforcement, but was later recovered in the 1900 block of Y Avenue, where one of the suspects was apprehended.

Arrested Individuals:

• Jeffery Alan Webb

o DOB: 1972 (Age 53)

o Residence: Polk City, Iowa

o Bond: $60,000 – Boone County Jail

• Sarah Ann Campbell

o DOB: 1976 (Age 48)

o Residence: Des Moines, Iowa

o Bond: $64,000 – Boone County Jail

Charges Filed in Boone County (Against Each Defendant):

• Theft – 1st Degree (×2)

• Burglary – 3rd Degree (×3, including one motor vehicle burglary)

• Theft – 2nd Degree

• Theft – 4th Degree

• Ongoing Criminal Conduct

Recovered evidence has linked the suspects to additional burglaries in Story County, the City of Granger, and Dallas County. The investigation is ongoing, and more charges may be filed pending review of evidence and coordination with assisting jurisdictions.
