The Ogden softball team wasted no time Tuesday, June 10, scoring 10 runs in the top of the first inning en route to a 15-4 victory over Panorama in a West Central Conference matchup in Panora.
Ogden’s bats were red-hot from the start, piling on 10 runs in the opening inning and adding four more in the second to build a 14-2 lead.
They tacked on one more in the fourth to seal the run-rule win in just four innings.
Breaunna Wenger led the offense with three hits, four RBIs, and a run scored.
Sophie Seligman matched her with three hits of her own, driving in three runs and scoring twice.
Camryn Askelsen also had a big night at the plate, collecting three hits, two RBIs, and a run scored.
Harleigh Janssen and Clara Kruse each added two hits and two RBIs, contributing to Ogden’s relentless attack.
In the circle, Katie Wilcoxson pitched a complete game, striking out three and keeping Panorama’s offense in check.
With the win, Ogden improves to 7-5 overall and 4-4 in conference play.
Panorama drops to 3-8 and remains winless in the West Central Conference at 0-7.
The Bulldogs will travel to Earlham on Thursday, June 12, for a conference doubleheader beginning at 5:30 p.m.
