Posted on 11 June 2025 by KWBG

The Boone baseball team was swept by Carlisle in a Raccoon River Conference doubleheader Monday, June 9, at home.

The Wildcats took Game 1 by a score of 3-1 and shut out the Toreadors 5-0 in Game 2.

In the opener, Tyler Lindahl collected two hits.

Tate Carlson added a hit and scored Boone’s lone run, while Ryan Bowers chipped in with a hit.

Starting pitcher Reid Carr was tagged with the loss.

Game 2 saw Carlisle’s pitching dominate, holding Boone scoreless.

The Toreadors scattered four hits—one each from Dylan England, Cole Bowers, Tate Carlson, and Tyce Carlson—but couldn’t string together enough offense to break through.

Walker Smith took the loss on the mound, recording one strikeout.

With the sweep, Boone falls to 9-3 overall and 2-3 in conference play.

Carlisle improves to 8-6 and evens its conference record at 3-3.

Boone will look to bounce back quickly as it hosts North Polk (5-6) tonight at 7 p.m. in another Raccoon River Conference matchup.
