Ogden baseball falls to ACGC

Posted on 04 June 2025 by KWBG

The Ogden baseball team put up a fight Monday, June 2, but couldn’t overcome a late surge from Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, falling 13-6 at home.

ACGC jumped out to an early lead with three runs in the top of the first and broke the game open with six more in the fifth and four in the seventh.

Ogden responded with three runs in the third and added one run in each of the final three innings, but the deficit proved too large to overcome.

Thomas Bergstrom led the Bulldogs offensively with a four-hit night, including a double, while scoring twice and driving in a run.

Treyton Mitchell also had a big game, collecting three hits, scoring once, driving in two runs, and swiping two bases.

Colson Carson added three hits, and Keagan Ristvedt and Tanner Rohe each contributed a run scored, with Ristvedt also picking up an RBI.

Hunter Mitchels struck out six batters on the mound in the loss.

Ogden drops to 3-5 on the season, while ACGC improves to 2-3.

The Bulldogs will look to bounce back tonight as they host undefeated Coon Rapids-Bayard (5-0) at 7 p.m.
