BOONE, Iowa—There was a little change in the recent U.S. Drought Monitor map with a slight increase in Moderate Drought Conditions. There was a less than 3% increase in Moderate Drought and Abnormally Dry conditions were virtually unchanged. Total Moderate Drought in the state was 9.6%. Abnormally Dry conditions were found in 46.4% of the state. Locally, no drought conditions were found in Central Iowa, including Boone County.
