The Ogden baseball team wasted no time Tuesday, May 27, scoring five runs in the first inning en route to a commanding 10-2 road win over West Central Valley in Stuart.
Ogden’s offense came out firing, adding four more runs in the fourth and one in the fifth to put the game out of reach.
Brody Burdette led the way with two hits, two runs scored, and an RBI.
Tanner Rohe and CeJay Jones also tallied two hits apiece, while Thomas Bergstrom chipped in with a hit, a run, and two RBIs.
On the mound, Hunter Mitchels earned the win, striking out three.
Colson Carson followed with 3 2/3 strong innings of relief, racking up seven strikeouts.
With the win, Ogden improved to 3-1 on the season.
West Central Valley drops to 0-1.
The Bulldogs will be back in action Thursday, May 29, when they travel to Truro for a doubleheader against Interstate 35.
First pitches are scheduled for 5 and 7 p.m.
