The Boone girls’ soccer team came up short Friday May 16, falling 1-0 to Des Moines North at Goeppinger Field.
North found the back of the net once in the first half, and that lone goal proved to be the difference.
Despite the loss, Boone goalkeeper Ava Johnson recorded 12 saves to keep her team within striking distance throughout the match.
With the win, the Polar Bears improved their season record to 6-9, while Boone dropped to 5-10-2.
The Toreadors will look to bounce back and close out their regular season when they travel to face Des Moines East (5-11-1) on Tuesday, May 20.
Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
