Senior Max Roelfs led the Boone boys’ golf team with a career-low score of 77 as the Toreadors competed in the Raccoon River Conference meet on Monday, May 12.
Boone finished 7th out of 9 teams and achieved its lowest 18-hole round since 2018, with a total score of 329.
Adel-DeSoto-Minburn placed 1st in the meet with a score of 294.
Roelfs narrowly missed out on the top 10 with his score of 77.
Calvin Overton, Edward Heller and Mason Oostenink each contributed rounds of 84, while Brody McNace and Jaxon Miover shot 87 and 89, respectively.
Roelfs and freshman Overton earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors for their performances.

Boone begins the postseason with a Class 3A sectional meet in Okoboji at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 14.
