The Boone boys’ soccer team beat Winterset, 8-1, Tueday, May 6, at Goeppinger Field.
The Toreadors started strong with 5 goals in the 1st half.
Boone added 3 more goals in the 2nd half, while Winterset only managed 1 goal.
Davide Iopollo scored 4 goals for the Toreadors.
Four seniors, Braden Brooks, Dylan Bolton, Blake Gradoville and Reid Carr, all added 1 goal each for the Toreadors.
Carr had 2 assists while Brooks, Holden Davis and Ben Seligman all had 1 assist each.
Seligman had 10 saves.
The Boone girls’ soccer team traveled to Winterset and also beat the Huskies, 2-0.
The boys improve to 6-5-2 while the girls imrpove to 5-7-2.
The boys host Adel-DeSoto-Minburn at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Goeppinger Field while the girls travel to No. 11 ADM at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
