Boone teams win Don Howard Invitational

The Boone boys’ and girls’ track teams both won the Don Howard Invitational Thursday, May 1, at Goeppinger Field. 

The boys scored 167 points, and the girls scored 137 points. 

Five relays for the boys were champions. 

The sprint medley relay of Lucas Boucher, Lucas Moore, Noah Davies and Maddox McIntyre was 1st in 1:39.22. 

The 4×800-meter relay of Ajay Braddock, Chase Mueller, Calvin Cook, and Dorian Myers finished 1st in 8:52.19. 

The 4×200-meter relay of Boucher, Davies, Joshua Ingram and Moore ended 1st in 1:32.14. 

The 4×100-meter relay of Boucher, Davies, Jude Baumgardner and Moore were champions in 44.38. 

And the 4×400-meter relay of Maddox McIntyre, Jordan McCloud, Bodie Brogden and Myers was 1st in 3:35.70 

Additionally, Myers won the 800-meter run in 2:04.60 and the 1,600-meter run in 4:55.94. 

Baumgardner won the shot with a throw of 51-08.50 and the discus with his throw of 151-11.50. 

For the girls, Carly Busch won the 100- meter dash in 12.33, the 200-meter dash in 25.85  and the 400-meter dash in 59.69.

The Boone teams will head to Gilbert for the Raccoon River Conference meet Wednesday, May 7.
