Cindy Sue Larson Adreon was born on July 26, 1959 in Nevada, the daughter of Robert C. and Betty (Sharp) Larson. She grew up in Boone and graduated from Boone High School in the Class of 1978. In 1974, Cindy met Tim Adreon who became her high school sweetheart.
Cindy was united in marriage with Tim on March 24, 1979 at the First United Methodist Church in Boone. From this union were two children, Amanda and Bradley. Cindy was the best wife, mom, grandma and sister that anyone could ask for.
Cindy would say, “My grandkids are my hobby.” She loved her family with all her heart and enjoyed her grandchildren in all they did. Grandma Cindy would climb on the floor with the kids to color or watch them dance and play sports. She was the family vacation coordinator for the big family vacation, which is fast approaching for 2021, when 70+ family and friends go have some fun together each year. She would have wanted them to keep the tradition going. She was the President of the Boji Crew.
Cindy and Tim moved from Boone and lived in Rockwell City for 10 years before returning to Ogden in 1993. Cindy had worked at Archway Cookie Co. and was a daycare provider before her current job at Johnson and Sons in Ogden, where she has been a receptionist for 17 years. Even through her battle with cancer, she barely missed a day!
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Mike and Richard; in-laws, Bill and Marceline Adreon; brother-in-law, Denny Adreon; and recently lost her four-legged companion, Jozie the Yorkie, on June 25th. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Tim Adreon; daughter, Amanda (Chad) Johnson of Ogden; son, Brad Adreon of Wiota, IA; grandchildren, Gage and Haddie; sister, Marge (Kenny) Bollenbaugh of Boone; sister-in-law, Bev Adreon of Boxholm; along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone. Online condolences may be left to Cindy’s family at www.schroedermemorialchapel.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Cindy Adreon Family.
