Saturday night about 8:00 smoke was noticed coming from the Ogden Mart on West Walnut Street in Ogden. Within two hours the intense blaze that enveloped the store caused the structure to collapse. No injuries were reported. (Photo credit Darren Tromblay)

Ethan Bailey of Ogden, officially started as Student Resource Officer for the Boone Schools on Monday, October 28th. Bailey has been with the Boone Police Department since 2011.

Three people in Ogden have been displaced after a fire destroyed their duplex. The fire started Saturday afternoon around 4:00 in the 600 block of Haws Drive. The blaze started in one duplex and spread to the other, destroying both homes. There were no injuries. Crews from Ogden, Boone, and Grand Junction fire department’s responded.

Boone based Company C, 2-147th Assault Helicopter Battalion of the Iowa National guard leave Friday, October 18th for a one year deployment to the Middle East. The unit will travel to Texas to finish training before heading to the Middle East in December.
