BOONE, Iowa---The biggest issue for the first day of the 2008 Farm Progress Show was probably the traffic. Officials did report some minor delays for traffic into and out of the Central Iowa Expo site east of Boone. The Iowa State Patrol, Boone County Sheriff’s Department, Boone County Search and Rescue and others handled traffic. Officials say they had lines of traffic, but they were able to keep things moving.
BOONE, Iowa---The City of Boone recently began using a new style utility bill for water and sewer services. The change has received some compliments but also has some people wondering if it cost more than the old post cards. City Administrator Luke Nelson says Rhonda Clayton with the Utility Department will explain the change during an open community forum with department heads at 5:00 next Tuesday at the City Hall.
