Kawhi (kah-WY&#8217;) Leonard added 18 points for the Spurs, who shot 53 percent from the field and set a team playoff record by draining 14 three-pointers. Grizzlies All-Star Zach Randolph missed his first seven shots and scored his only points on a tip-in with 9:26 left in the game.</p>
<p>BOSTON (AP) &#8211; Tuukka (TOO&#8217;-kah) Rask stopped 35 shots and Johnny Boynton snapped a 2-2 tie in the second period as the Boston Bruins beat the New York Rangers 5-2 to take a two-games-to-none lead in the NHL&#8217;s Eastern Conference semifinals. Torey Krug (kroog) had a goal and an assist for the Bruins, who used a two-goal third period to take control. Rangers forward Rick Nash finally scored his first goal of the postseason after leading the team with 21 during the regular season.</p>
<p>OTTAWA (AP) &#8211; The Penguins have a 2-1 lead in the NHL&#8217;s Eastern Conference semifinals after goals by Daniel Alfredsson and Colin Greening allowed the Ottawa Senators to beat Pittsburgh 2-1 in double overtime. Greening scored at 7:39 of the second OT after Alfredsson provided a short-handed goal with just 29 seconds left in regulation. Craig Anderson stopped 49 shots and blanked the Pens after Tyler Kennedy scored late in the second period.</p>
<p>IRVING, Texas (AP) &#8211; Sang-Moon Bae has won the Byron Nelson Championship for his first PGA Tour title. The 26-year-old South Korean closed with a 1-under 69 to finish at 13-under. Keegan Bradley blew a four-stroke lead in the final round and finished two shots off the pace, three days after setting a course record with a 10-under 60.</p>
<p>ROME (AP) &#8211; Rafael Nadal (rah-fay-ehl nah-DAHL&#8217;) and Serena Williams are leaving Rome as the 2013 winners of the Italian Open, the last event before the start of the French Open. Nadal defeated long-time foe Roger Federer in the final, 6-1, 6-3, while Williams stopped Victoria Azarenka (ah-zah-REN&#8217;-kuh) 6-1, 6-3.</p>

<p>UNDATED (AP) -The Sacramento Kings are another step closer to staying put. A person familiar with the deal tells the Associated Press the Maloof family has reached an agreement with a Sacramento group headed by software tycoon Vivek Ranadive. The Maloofs would sell a 65 percent controlling interest in the Kings at a total franchise valuation of $535 million.</p>
<p>IRVING, Texas (AP) &#8211; Keegan Bradley is the leader through one round of the PGA&#8217;s Byron Nelson Championship in Irving, Texas. Bradley set a course record with a 10-under-60 for a three shot lead over Charl Schwartzel. Bradley&#8217;s round featured 10 birdies, an eagle and two bogeys.</p>
<p>LONDON (AP) &#8211; Veteran soccer player David Beckham says he will retire from professional the end of the season. The 38-year-old Englishman recently won a league title in a fourth country with a team in Paris and has two games left this season with the French club. He also played for Manchester United, Real Madrid (ray-AL&#8217; mah-DRIHD&#8217;) and the Los Angeles Galaxy, winning titles with all three clubs.</p>

<p>OKLAHOMA CITY (AP)- The Memphis Grizzlies are going to the Western Conference finals for the first time in franchise history after eliminating Oklahoma City in five games, 88-84. Zach Randolph posted his fourth double-double of the five-game series with 28 points and 14 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who will play either San Antonio or Golden State in the conference finals.</p>
<p>SEATTLE (AP)- Seattle fans&#8217; hopes to land an NBA franchise were dashed yesterday with NBA owners voting 22-8 against the Sacramento Kings&#8217; proposed move to the Pacific Northwest. Seattle has been without an NBA team since 2008 when the Sonics moved to Oklahoma City and rechristened the Thunder.</p>
<p>BALTIMORE (AP)- Nine horses, the smallest Preakness field in six years, will run a mile and three-16ths on Saturday as Orb tries to win the second leg of horse racing&#8217;s Triple Crown. Orb drew the rail and was installed as the even-money favorite for the Preakness Stakes.</p>
<p>INDIANAPOLIS (AP) &#8211; Three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti (DA&#8217;-ree-oh fran-KEE&#8217;-tee) topped the speed chart yesterday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, turning a lap at an average of 224.236 mph in the fifth practice session for the May 26 race. Franchitti, the Target Chip Ganassi Racing driver who will be 40 on Sunday, is trying to match the Indy 500 record of four victories held by A.J. Foyt, Al Unser Sr. and Rick Mears.</p>

<p>UNDATED (AP)- Pittsburgh and defending Stanley Cup champion L.A. Kings both won their opening games in their conference semifinal series last night. The Penguins routed Ottawa 4-1 while the Kings blanked San Jose 2-0 as Jonathan Quick recorded the shutout.</p>
<p>SAN DIEGO (AP) &#8211; San Diego Chargers outside linebacker Melvin Ingram has torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, putting his season in jeopardy. The Chargers announced that Ingram was hurt yesterday during an organized team activity practice.</p>

<p>DETROIT (AP) &#8211; The Houston Astros finished last night&#8217;s 7-2 loss in Detroit without their best starting pitcher and top hitter. Right-hander Bud Norris left his start with back spasms after five innings and 71 pitches. <p>ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) &#8211; Buddy Nix has stepped down as general manager of the Buffalo Bills and will move into a newly created role as a special assistant. The 73-year-old Nix steps down two weeks after overseeing his fourth draft with the Bills, which the team opened by selecting its quarterback of the future in Florida State&#8217;s EJ Manuel with the 16th pick. Doug Whaley is expected to replace Nix after three seasons as assistant GM.</p>

Thibodeau was upset that Nazr Mohammed got ejected for shoving LeBron James to the floor and accused the Heat&#8217;s superstar of flopping. He also said calls weren&#8217;t going to go the Bulls&#8217; way.</p>
<p>UNDATED (AP) &#8211; The Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Rangers have forced Game 7s in their respective Eastern Conference quarterfinals series. James Reimer stopped 29 shots and carried a shutout into the final minute of the Leafs&#8217; 2-1 win over Boston after HenrikLundqvist made 27 saves in the Rangers&#8217; 1-0 shutout of Washington. Detroit moved into the Western Conference semifinals as Henrik Zetterberg and Valteri Filppula (val-TEHR&#8217;-ee FIHL&#8217;-puh-luh) each notched a goal and an assist in the Red Wings&#8217; 3-2 win over Anaheim in Game 7.</p>
<p>HOUSTON (AP) &#8211; The Houston Astros have designated Philip Humber for assignment, one year after tossing the 21st perfect game in major league history. Humber is 0-8 with a 9.59 after surrendering five runs in just 2/3s of an inning against Texas on Saturday.</p>
<p>PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (AP) &#8211; Tiger Woods closed with a 2-under-par 70 to win The Players Championship at 13-under, two strokes ahead of Kevin Streelman, Swedish rookie David Lingmerth and Jeff Maggert. Woods was in the scoring trailer when Lingmerth missed a long birdie try that would have forced a playoff. Woods now has 78 career PGA victories after claiming his first Players Championship title in a dozen years.</p>

Also on ice, the New York Islanders beat Pittsburgh 6-4 to even that series 2-2, Ottawa has a 3-1 series lead following a 3-2 overtime win against Montreal, and Chicago blanked Minnesota 3-0 to go up 3-1 in that series.</p>
<p>BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) &#8211; The Buffalo Sabres have hired Ron Rolston as head coach on a permanent basis. Rolston led the Sabres to a 15-11-5 mark after replacing Lindy Ruff in February.</p>
<p>JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) &#8211; The Jacksonville Jaguars continued to revamp their secondary by signing free agent cornerback Marcus Trufant. The team released veteran cornerback Antwaun Molden to make room for the former Seattle Seahawks starter.</p>

<p>CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) &#8211; Rookie Derek Ernst parred the first playoff hole to defeat David Lynn and win the PGA&#8217;s Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte. Both players closed with 2-under 70s for an 8-under total. Phil Mickelson shared the lead heading into the round before shooting a 73, leaving him one shot back.</p>
