The Salvation Army will operate a cooling station at 509 Benton Street during the months of July, August and September when the heat index is expected to reach 105 degrees for two consecutive days or when the heat index does not drop below 75 degrees in the evening.

The Boone Fire Department will be conducting a training exercise Thursday night at 403 Benton Street.  This will lead to the closure of Benton Street from 5th Street to Mamie Eisenhower Avenue from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

BOONE, IA – The City of Boone recently approved additional dollars toward  the Downtown Incentive Fund.  The latest project to benefit from those assisting funds is the Bowers Digmann  Building on Keeler Street.
