Although it is unseasonably cold, spring did successfully make its way into Boone Wednesday morning.  At least it looks pretty!

BOONE, Iowa—There was a pretty good turnout of emergency responders and the public for the annual Severe Weather Spotter Class in Boone Monday.

The red car in the intersection and the white car on the right were involved.  Boone County Ambulance and Fire and Rescue were also called.  No one was transported.

Unlike last year when temperatures were well above normal, Mother Nature is making this robin and us wait for Spring.

BOONE, Iowa—Iowa Governor Terry Branstad and Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds visit Boone, speaking about midterm accomplishments.

KWBG Sports learned Monday morning that Boone Girls Basketball Coach Mark Hein would not return next season. Coach Hein told KWBG Sports his contract was not renewed. Boone finished 6-16 this past season. Coach Hein will be our guest on Coaches Corner Thursday at 4:50pm.
