Car Burglaries on the Rise

Car Burglaries on the Rise

The Boone police department has been very busy with burglaries of motor vehicles.  Unlocked vehicles seem to be the main target.  Citizens are asked to take normal security precautions by locking vehicles, garages and other out buildings.  Please call 911 if you see or hear anything suspicious.  515-432-2525

Outdoor Piano in Boone

Outdoor Piano in Boone

Boone now has an outdoor piano at the corner of 8th and Story Streets.  The piano was weatherized by former Boone high school English teacher Chuck Behm and members of the Central Iowa Piano Technicians Guild.  The weatherization makes it so the piano can remain outside even when it rains.

After some very rainy weather and several delays, the Boone boys will be playing baseball!   First pitch will be approximately 4:05 p.m. on Tuesday.   Tune into KWBG-AM 1590 to hear the game.  Good luck, Boone!
