With temps in the sixties for the first part of these week, Boone County residents are enjoying the unseasonably warm weather.  Make the best of it now because there is snow in the forecast for the end of the week.

The Boone Chili Battle was held at the Boone History Center yesterday.  The Iowa Turkey Federation’s took home the first place traveling trophy for their white turkey chili.

Boone Boys Win the Raccoon River Conference Title

Boone Boys Win the Raccoon River Conference Title

The Boone boys basketball team got a win over Perry Tuesday night (50-49) to win the Raccoon River Conference Title.  This is their first conference title since the 1956-1957 season.  Boone is now 13-5/11-2.   (Photo credit to Boone TV.  Thank you for sharing!)
