National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week Recognized in November

BOONE, Iowa—Boone Mayor John Slight signed off on the formal proclamation for participation in this year’s recognition of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, November 16th through the 24th.  Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is an annual program where people come together nationwide to draw attention to the problems of hunger and homelessness. The proclamation recognizes that there are issues of hunger and homelessness at the local level.

The Boone City Council joined Mayor John Slight and Hope Metheny and Katie Oelfke of YSS for the signing of the proclamation for Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, November 16th through the 24th.
