BOONE, Iowa—Iowa Senator Joni Ernst made a stop in Boone Wednesday as part of her annual 99-county tour of Iowa. The visit included a tour of select hospital departments that demonstrate the importance of the 340B Program, a brief meeting with key hospital leaders, and a press conference with the media. Boone County Hospital CEO Joe Smith said they appreciated their opportunity to present the Senator with information about Critical Access Hospitals.
