#6 Boone Girls move to 4A Regional Final with a 53-34 win over Norwalk

Coach Jim McPartland put it best, “sometimes it good to win ugly games” The Toreadors won one of those Saturday night 53-34 in their 4A Regional Semifinal over Norwalk. The Toreadors led by 6 at halftime 20-14, but seemed to put things together in quarter #3 outscoring Norwalk 19-9 and led 39-23 heading to the 4th. Boone held Norwalk to 5 first quarter points, 9 in the 2nd, 9 in the 3rd and 11 in the 4th. Boone was led by Emma Dighton who had 16pts, Caitlynne Shadle with 13 and Claire Sandvig with 12. We had a chance to talk to Shadle in the postgame

 

 

Boone will host Dallas Center Grimes, Tuesday Night at 7pm with the winner advancing to state, Boone knocked off DCG last year 32-30 to advance to their first ever 5 on 5 State Tournament (and knocked off DCG 42-30 back on January 2nd of this year) KWBG will have the game live on Tuesday Night.
