Four Earn Iowa FFA Degree

BOONE, Iowa—The North Central FFA District Review Night was held on Wednesday, February 7 at Belmond High School. Four members of the Boone A&M FFA Chapter at Boone High School applied to earn their Iowa FFA Degree.  Students approved for the Degree included:

Megan Osborn

Logan Halsrud

Dyan Kinyon

Madison Sturtz

The Iowa FFA Degree is the highest degree a state FFA association can bestow on a member with only 5% of FFA members in Iowa receiving the degree each year.  Students will receive their Iowa Degree award at the State FFA Convention in April at Hilton Coliseum in Ames.

FFA member Erica Mehlhaus, 2017 graduate of Boone High School, received 1st place with her Equine Science Ag Proficiency Award and advances to state competition.

Jim Fitzgerald, Agricultural Science Instructor, Boone High School is the FFA Advisor for the Boone A&M FFA Chapter.
