Boone Community Theatre Offering 5-Dinner Theatre’s in November

Posted on 03 February 2018 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The Little Sisters of Hoboken are coming to Boone, Iowa!

“Nunsense,” the hit Broadway musical, will appear on the Boone Community Theatre stage February 9 – 17.

Susan Herrick, Director, promises a lively time as theatre-goers watch and sometimes participate in the antics of five nuns hosting a talent show fundraiser for their botulism-stricken convent.  Desperation mixed with the sheer irony of nuns performing catchy show tunes leads to an evening of side-splitting laughter, toe-tapping, and camaraderie.

Presented in a dinner theatre format, BCT’s Nunsense includes a catered meal by Diane Patrick, local caterer and baker.  The menu features soup, salad, bread, chicken divan, dessert, and beverages.  Patrons of legal age are welcome to bring their own alcohol.

The dinner theatre begins at 6 pm, with performances Feb. 9, 10, 15, 16, and 17.  Tickets are $25 and must be reserved at least seven days in advance by visiting boonecommunitytheatre.org or calling / texting 515-303-0393.  Boone Community Theatre is located at 106 S. Webster St.  Parking and the theatre entrance are located on the east side of the building.

Starring in BCT’s February 9 – 17th production of “Nunsense” are Jennifer Kokjohn, Abigail Freeman, Erica Brown, Coriann Westvold and Stephanie Hammer. Not pictured: Jeremiah Zahn
